Dr Alexander Zhang
Overview
Dr Alexander Zhang is an Australian-trained ENT surgeon. He manages all general paediatric and adult ENT issues and has subspecialty training in sinus, allergy and anterior skull base conditions.
Dr Zhang grew up in Sydney and graduated with first class honours from the University of New South Wales. He subsequently completed Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery training and was awarded his fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2023. During his training Dr Zhang worked at numerous high volume tertiary hospitals and has gained extensive paediatric experience in institutions such as Westmead Children’s Hospital, John Hunter Children’s Hospital and the Women and Children’s Hospital in Adelaide. He subsequently undertook a prestigious and internationally recognised fellowship in Rhinology and Skull Base surgery with Professor Alkis Psaltis and Professor PJ Wormald.
Dr Zhang has published numerous research articles in peer-reviewed journals and regularly presents at international and national ENT conferences on sino-nasal management. He has authored textbook chapters for Ear, Nose and Throat surgery, and is regular invited faculty for Australian surgery teaching courses where he instructs other surgeons in endoscopic sinus surgery.
