Overview

Professor Timothy Steel FRACS MBBS is a Neurosurgeon who has been a Consultant Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) at St Vincents Hospital for 20 years. After completing his training in Australia he studied in the USA at the University Of Washington and in London England at the National Hospital for Neuosurgery and Neurology where completed a skull base and spine surgery fellowship. He has been Chairman and Head of the Department of Neurosurgery at St Vincent's Hospital for the last 4 years. He was also a VMO and Head of the Neurosurgery Department at Concord Hospital from 1998 until 2013.

He specialises in Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery, Complex Spine Surgery and Brain surgery for Cerbral Tumours and Trigeminal Neuralgia.
