Associate Professor Christos Apostolou
Overview
A/Prof Christos Apostolou is a Specialist Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeon with expertise in upper GI, hepatobiliary, pancreatic, hernia and bariatric surgery, with a particular focus on robotic and complex hernia repair. Trained in Cape Town (FCS 2003), with fellowships in Upper GI/HPB/Trauma Surgery, and FRACS since 2012. Holds a Masters in Surgery (UCT) and Certificate of Surgical Gastroenterology, with ongoing peer-reviewed research. Clinical Associate Professor (ANU, Sydney Adventist Hospital Clinical School) and Senior Clinical Lecturer (Macquarie University). Head of Department, General Surgery, and Clinical Lead in Upper GI Surgery at Sydney Adventist Hospital. Robotic accredited since 2015 (Yonsei University, Seoul) and now a robotic proctor. RACS Court of Examiners in General Surgery.
