Overview
I am Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Ethem CAKCAK, FRACS, a Specialist General Surgeon and current Upper GI Fellow at Wollongong Hospital, NSW. I hold a European Board Certificate in Colorectal Surgery (EBSQ) and served as an Associate Professor of General Surgery before gaining Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS).
With extensive academic and clinical expertise, I specialize in advanced laparoscopic surgery, complex hernia repairs, and diagnostic/interventional upper and lower GI endoscopies (gastroscopy & colonoscopy). My practice encompasses Upper GI, Hepatobiliary, Colorectal, and Acute Care Emergency Surgery. I am dedicated to evidence-based clinical care, surgical education, and mentoring registrars and medical students.
