Dr Brendan McManus
Overview
Dr Brendan McManus is a colorectal surgeon who started practice in 2016. He graduated from the University of NSW in 2005 prior to completing his general surgical training through the Princess Alexandra Hospital in QLD. He then underwent two years of colorectal fellowship training at the John Hunter Hospital and at Waikato Hospital in New Zealand. During 2015 he completed his Masters in Minimally Invasive Surgery through the University of Adelaide.
Brendan’s interests lie in minimally invasive colorectal surgery, inflammatory bowel disease and pelvic floor disorders. He is interested in the teaching of medical students and surgical trainees.
He currently operates privately from Newcastle Private and Lingard Private Hospitals.
