Dr David Wilson
Overview
Dr David Wilson is an Australian trained neurosurgeon working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Prince of Wales Private Hospital. He has expertise in the management of brain, spine and peripheral nerve conditions. David has a special interest in the management of spinal degeneration, tumours and trauma, as well as brain tumour and epilepsy surgery.
David completed his Bachelor of Medical Science at The University of Sydney in 2003, before obtaining medical degree at The University of Queensland in 2007. His neurosurgery training was completed across leading hospitals in Sydney and Brisbane, including Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, St Vincent’s Hospital, Royal North Shore Hospital, The Princess Alexandra Hospital, Queensland Children’s Hospital, Prince of Wales Hospital, and Sydney Children’s Hospital. He was awarded his fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2022.
During his training, David obtained a Masters of Public Health through The University of Newcastle in 2014.
In 2022 David undertook a Spinal Trauma and Complex Spinal Fellowship at Royal North Shore Hospital. This additional experience further advanced his clinical and surgical skills, providing him with the expertise to treat spinal deformity, traumatic, and oncological conditions.
David works as a VMO Neurosurgeon at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Prince of Wales Private Hospital. He consults from suites in Newtown
