Denby has been in private and public practice since 1993, treating most adult urological conditions with special interest and expertise in endoscopic and percutaneous laser stone surgery, urological oncology with LDR and HDR prostate brachytherapy, open renal surgery, erectile dysfunction with penile implants and vasectomy/microscopic vasectomy reversal. Denby has a private practice at Ward Street Urology in North Adelaide, operates at Calvary North Adelaide Hospital, is a Senior Visiting Urologist, Director of Endourology and Stone Surgery and head of the Urology Unit at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, and provides urological care to the Barossa Valley, consulting and operating at Angaston Hospital fortnightly. Denby served the full nine years as an examiner in Urology for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
