Dr Alexander 'Alex' Nesbitt

Overview

Dr Alex Nesbitt is an Australian-trained Specialist Urologist providing comprehensive care across the full spectrum of adult urology, from routine conditions through to complex robotic surgery.

After completing medical school on the Gold Coast, Alex undertook specialist urology training throughout Queensland and Melbourne before working as a consultant urologist in Melbourne. He then completed an advanced fellowship in robotic urological surgery at Nottingham University Hospitals in England and has now returned to establish his full-time practice serving the Gold Coast and Northern NSW community.

Alex is known for his calm, reassuring approach and his ability to explain complex medical problems in plain English. He believes every patient should leave a consultation with a clear understanding of their diagnosis, treatment options and the next steps in their care.

Telehealth video and phone consultations are available where appropriate, helping reduce travel and inconvenience and improve accessibility.

Outside work, Alex enjoys spending time with his wife and two young sons, travelling and keeping active.
