Dr Darren Lituri

Overview

Darren Lituri is a Specialist General Surgeon.

He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, and a Member of General Surgeons Australia, and the Gastroenterological Society of Australia.

Darren graduated from the Flinders University Medical School in 2000, completing his internship at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in 2001. He trained in General Surgery in South Australia, and was awarded his Advanced Surgical Fellowship in 2013. Darren spent a further two years of Acute Emergency and Trauma Surgery training in Adelaide, and has performed academic duties as a Clinical Supervisor and Tutor to junior trainees and medical students. He has performed thousands of Operations and Procedures over a period of almost 20 years

Darren has been published in peer reviewed surgical journals and continues to be a Supervisor for active Hospital-based clinical research and training. 

Dr Lituri has been appointed Clinical Director of Surgery at Gladstone Base Hospital and Chair of Perioperative Services in Central Queensland.

When not consulting or performing surgery, Dr Lituri enjoys spending time with his family, musical performance, outdoor activities, and is active in service to the community.
