Dr Jingyi Cao
Overview
Dr Jingyi Cao is a Head and Neck Surgeon, Surgical Oncologist, and General Surgeon, specialised in treating thyroid, parathyroid and salivary gland diseases, as well as soft tissue tumours and advanced skin cancers.
Dr Cao graduated from the University of Melbourne School of Medicine in 2010 and obtained her Fellowship in General Surgery with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) in 2019. She further specialised in Head and Neck Surgery and Surgical Oncology at Westmead Hospital and the Crown Princess Mary Cancer Centre Westmead. She obtained full membership to the Australian and New Zealand Endocrine Surgeons (ANZES) and the Australian and New Zealand Head and Neck Cancer Society (ANZHNCS) in 2021 and 2022, respectively.
Dr Cao was awarded a Master of Philosophy in Medicine by the University of Sydney in 2024 for her clinical research efforts and thesis on the surgical management of secondary and tertiary hyperparathyroidism.
Dr Cao is a qualified RACS CCrISP instructor and Clinical Examiner. She is actively involved in the supervision and training of surgical trainees, junior medical officers, and medical students. Outside work, she enjoys spending time with her young family and travelling.
Dr Cao is committed to patient-centred care and adopting the latest evidence-based surgical management for each of her patients.
