Dr Keryn Davidson

Overview

Dr Keryn Davidson completed her neurosurgery training and obtained her FRACS (Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons) in 2017. Keryn grew up in Queensland and completed her medical school training at The University of Queensland in 2006. She went on to complete her internship and residency at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital before commencing neurosurgical training.

During her neurosurgical training time at Macquarie University Hospital, Keryn obtained a Masters of Surgery at Macquarie University, in Sydney. Other junior years of training were at The Royal North Shore Hospital, Prince of Wales Hospital and Sydney Children’s Hospital in Randwick. One year of senior training was spent at Flinders Medical Centre in Adelaide before returning to The Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney to complete her training program.

Keryn completed a fellow year in 2018 at The Royal North Shore Hospital with a large focus on open cerebrovascular neurosurgery, including treatment of brain aneurysms and arteriovenous malformations, as well as general neurosurgery.

These include brain tumours, haemorrhages, congenital malformations, spine tumours, and degenerative disc conditions. She has a specialty interest in open cerebrovascular conditions (including brain aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, and blocked arteries in the brain and neck).

Keryn works closely in multidisciplinary teams at the Royal North Shore Hospital in the management of neurosurgical conditions.
She enjoys being involved in registrar, resident, and medical student training and teaching. Keryn is an examiner with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, and is on the board of examiners for the junior clinical viva exam.

Keryn currently works as a VMO Neurosurgeon at The Royal North Shore hospital and also a VMO Neurosurgeon at North Shore Private Hospital. She consults from suites at the North Shore Private Hospital.
