Dr Nima Ahmadi
Overview
Dr. Nima Ahmadi is a General, Colorectal and Peritonectomy surgeon who works at Royal Prince Alfred Hospitals, St George Public and Private Hospitals and Chris O’Brien Lifehouse.
He obtained his fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) in 2016 and completed his specialist Colorectal surgery training through the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSSANZ) in 2019. He completed fellowships at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and The Tweed/John Flynn Hospitals where he gained wide exposure to laparoscopic and Robotic surgery. He then completed further training in Peritoneal Surface Oncology and Cytoreductive Surgery at Basingstoke Hospital in the United Kingdom and St George Hospital. He focuses on minimally invasive surgery including Robotic surgery and his areas of expertise include advanced colorectal and peritoneal cancer as well as benign colorectal conditions including diverticular disease, perianal conditions such as fistulas, fissures and haemorrhoids. He also maintains a strong interest in hernia surgery and interventional and diagnostic Colonoscopy. He is accredited with the Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA) for training in gastroscopy and colonoscopy.
Dr. Ahmadi has a wide academic interest and has completed his Master of Surgery in 2016. He has numerous publications on a wide range of colorectal conditions and is currently involved in a number of ongoing clinical trials.
