Dr Quan Ngo
Overview
Dr Quan Ngo is an Australian trained and certified Specialist Plastic, Reconstructive and Cosmetic Surgeon with a particular interest in facial reconstruction and aesthetics, as well as microsurgery.
Internationally, Dr Ngo completed further Fellowship positions in the United Kingdom, France, and Taiwan, sub-specialising in microsurgical reconstructive procedures, particularly in the Head & Neck region.
Services Provided
Dr Ngo provides a comprehensive range of services including complex skin cancer treatments and facial reconstructive, trauma and cosmetic surgeries, with a particular aesthetic interest in cosmetic jaw surgery. He also regularly receives referrals from other doctors for his subspecialty fields of facial reanimation surgery for patients who have facial palsies and microsurgical lymph node transplantation and lymphovenous anastomosis for patients with advanced lymphoedema.

He is known for the incorporation of innovative technologies such as virtual 3D planning and 3D printing to optimise patient care and outcomes, and enjoys the challenges of implementing the latest advancements to improve both patient understanding of their condition, as well as surgical results.

Dr Ngo has been the Head of the Department of the Plastic, Reconstructive and Maxillofacial Trauma Surgery unit at Liverpool Hospital since 2016. He is also a Consultant Specialist Plastic Surgeon at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, Macquarie University Hospital, Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital, Sydney Southwest Private Hospital, and The George Centre.
University and Examiner Appointments
Dr Quan Ngo is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the School of Medicine at UNSW, University of Western Sydney, and the Australian School of Advanced Medicine at Macquarie University. Dr Ngo was both an Examiner for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) as well as the RACS Supervisor of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Specialist Training Program at Liverpool Hospital. He has been actively involved in the training of the next generation of Australian Specialist Plastic Surgeons since 2012 and has won several accolades including ‘Best Teacher of the Year’.
Academic Research
As a keen academic researcher, Dr Quan Ngo has had scores of articles published in scientific journals and also sat on review panels for numerous Australian and international journals and research foundations. He is one of the founding members of both the Sydney Facial Nerve Service at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse as well as the Australian Lymphoedema Education, Research and Treatment (ALERT) multidisciplinary team at MQ Health at Macquarie University.

Dr Ngo has also previously been elected to represent his specialist medical colleagues, serving as a national Councillor for the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons and as Secretary for its NSW branch.
Dr Ngo has multiple practices across Sydney, in Bankstown, Burwood, Cabramatta West, Chatswood, Gledswood Hills and Macquarie. He is fluent in Vietnamese.
