Dr Robert 'Robbie' Glanfield

Overview

Dr Robbie Glanfield was born and raised in Auckland, New Zealand before moving to Australia to attend Medical School at the University of Sydney. After graduating he relocated to Newcastle, where he completed his Orthopaedic Surgery training. He then undertook a 1 year fellowship in Foot and Ankle surgery through the University of Calgary in Canada. His practice involves general Orthopaedic trauma where he is a part of the on-call roster at John Hunter Hospital and Lake Macquarie Private Hospital. His elective practice predominantly focusses on foot and ankle conditions including degenerative arthritis, as well as deformity and instability amongst other things. He has a particular interest inthe role of total ankle replacement surgery in the treatment of ankle arthritis.
