Dr Sam Alhayo

Overview

Dr Sam Alhayo is a Consultant Upper Gastrointestinal and General Surgeon with expertise in the management of both benign and malignant upper gastrointestinal disorders. His clinical practice focuses on oesophageal and gastric cancer, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, hiatus and para-oesophageal hernias, achalasia and oesophageal motility disorders, gallbladder disease, abdominal wall hernias, and diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, including gastroscopy and colonoscopy. He also has a strong interest in metabolic and bariatric surgery. Dr Alhayo has completed advanced fellowship training in Australia and the United Kingdom through the Australian and Aotearoa New Zealand Gastric and Oesophageal Surgery Association (AANZGOSA), with particular expertise in minimally invasive, laparoscopic, and robotic surgery. He is committed to delivering evidence-based, patient-centred care with an emphasis on timely access, multidisciplinary collaboration, and excellent clinical outcomes.
