Dr Sarah Forsyth
Overview
Dr Sarah Forsyth is a Specialist General Surgeon with subspecialty training in Breast and Surgical Oncology. She has extensive training and expertise in oncoplastic breast surgical techniques for the treatment of breast cancer. Dr Forsyth consults and operates at Prince of Wales Private Hospital and is a full member of Breast Surgeons of Australia and New Zealand. She is a member of the Prince of Wales Hospital Breast MDT.
Dr Forsyth completed her Bachelor of Science (Immunobiology) at the University of Sydney and her Medical Degree at the University of Wollongong. She undertook General Surgery Specialty training at Liverpool and St Vincent’s Hospital’s. She was awarded her fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2018.
Dr Forsyth went on to complete her fellowship training at Prince of Wales Hospital in the renowned Surgical Oncology unit which specialises in the management of sarcoma, soft tissue tumours and breast cancer. She completed her second year of fellowship training at the prestigious Westmead Breast Cancer Institute where she trained in high volume breast cancer management and oncoplastic surgical techniques. During her training she completed a Master of Advanced Breast Surgery at the University of Sydney, where she wrote her thesis in the use of Intraoperative Imaging in Breast Conserving Surgery.
