Shalvin Prasad is a senior upper GI, bariatric and minimally invasive surgeon practicing in Adelaide, South Australia since 2018. He holds a public staff specialist appointment with the Central Adelaide Health Network and consults in private at the Queen Elizabeth Specialist Centre.  Shalvin has operating privileges at Royal Adelaide, Queen Elizabeth, Calvary Adelaide, Ashford and Western hospitals. He completed medical education, general surgical and sub-speciality surgical training in New Zealand, Canada and Australia. Shalvin contributes to research, teaching and supervision of medical students, interns and surgeons in training via public hospitals, University of Adelaide, RACS, IFSO, ANZMOSS and ANZGOSA.

Shalvin has expertise in the breadth of upper GI, weight loss surgery and general surgery conditions. His interest lies in minimally invasive complex upper GI procedures in the upper GI discipline.
