Dr Steven Kahane

Overview

Dr Steven Kahane is a Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon with fellowship qualifications from both Australia and England. He specialises in hip and knee replacement surgery, knee surgery (meniscal surgery, ACL reconstruction, high tibial osteotomy and patella dislocation) together with general orthopaedic trauma.

Dr Kahane undertook specialist orthopaedic training in London on the prestigious Percivall Pott training Programme. After completing six years of specialist orthopaedic training and completing the Fellowship examinations from the Royal College of Surgeons of England, he undertook a one year Australian Orthopaedic Association approved Fellowship in the Gold Coast with Dr Price Gallie. After one year on the wonderful Gold Coast, with one Australian born son and a second on the way, he undertook the specialist recognition pathway through the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and was successful in the fellowship exam.

Dr Kahane has been working as a consultant surgeon at the Gold Coast University Hospital, Robina Hospital and the Varsity Lakes day hospital since February 2019.
