Mr Erin Ratahi

Overview

Erin Ratahi is a New Zealand trained Orthopaedic Surgeon who has practiced in Whangarei since 2008.

Born and raised on the coast of Taranaki, Erin completed his medical degree at The University of Auckland in 1993. He then went on to train in Orthopaedic Surgery, gaining his quailification in 2005 through The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.

Having become qualified as an Orthopaedic Surgeon, Erin underwent subspecialty training in both spine and shoulder surgery at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in London.

Since completing his training, Erin has been a Fellow of The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, and continues to hold membership with the New Zealand Orthopaedic Association, the New Zealand Spine Society, and the New Zealand Shoulder and Elbow Society.

Erin held a consultant appointment at Whangarei Base Hospital from 2008 until 2018. Throughout that time he supervising and teaching orthopaedic trainees and junior medical staff. He now continues to run his private practice based at the Northland Orthopaedic Centre.

Erin currently runs clinics in Whangarei, Dargaville, Kaikohe, Waipapa and Kerikeri. He operates at the Northland Orthopaedic Daystay Centre and Kensington Hospital.
