Dr Idrees 'Reece' Sher

Overview

Dr Reece Sher is an Australian-trained neurosurgeon and spinal surgeon with advanced training across leading tertiary institutions, including Royal North Shore Hospital, Royal Hobart Hospital, Monash Hospital, Monash Children’s Hospital, and Austin Hospital.

He completed a subspecialist combined neurosurgical and orthopaedic complex spine surgery fellowship at Austin Hospital, followed by an additional year as an Honorary Complex Spine Surgery Fellow at The Alfred Hospital.

Dr Sher is committed to excellence in patient care and ongoing professional development, regularly training with and collaborating alongside world leaders in cranial and spinal surgery. His clinical philosophy is centred on optimising every variable of medical and surgical care to maximise safety, minimise morbidity, and achieve the best possible patient outcomes.

Dr Sher has worked across multiple major tertiary neurosurgical centres in Australia. He currently holds public appointments at Monash Health and Austin Health in Melbourne, Victoria, and is accredited at leading private hospitals including Epworth, Cabrini, and Jessie McPherson Private Hospital.
