Dr Jerome Soquet
Overview
Dr Soquet graduated from Sorbonne Universite (Paris, France) in 2008 and completed surgical training in Lille (France) in 2014. Advanced fellowship was performed at the Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne (2015-2017) and CHU de Lille (2017-2020). Dr Soquet was appointed Consultant in 2020 and has founded the paediatric cardiac surgical program the same year at CHU de Lille. In 2024, Dr Soquet moved back to Australia to work as a Consultant at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, covering a wide range of cardiothoracic procedures, and focusing on adult congenital heart surgery and complex aortic valve replacement.
Dr Soquet is passionate about the academic and surgical training of junior surgeons. In 2020, Dr Soquet was appointed Associate Professor at Universite de Lille. He completed a Master Degree in 2013 and a PhD on aortic valve calcification in 2023 at Universite de Lille.
