Associate Professor Michael Hii

Overview

Michael Hii is an oesophago-gastric and bariatric surgeon at St Vincent’s and Epworth Hospitals Melbourne. 

He is a high-volume clinical surgeon and continues strong leadership, teaching/ education and research interests. He is the Deputy Directory of Hepatobiliary and Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery at St Vincent’s Hospital and the current Pre-SET co-supervisor. He lectures surgical trainees and fellows and is the chair of the St Vincent’s Hospital Upper GI and Hepatobiliary research group. He is the co-supervisor for a PhD candidate at the University of Melbourne. He is the chair of the St Vincent’s Hospital sustainability interest group. He is a Clinical Associate Professor through the University of Melbourne Department of Surgery.
