Mr Camdon Fary

Camdon Fary is a hip and knee orthopaedic surgeon whose main consulting suite is located at the Specialist Orthopaedic Surgery Clinic, Gound Floor, St Francis Building, 166 Gipps Street, East Melbourne. He also consults in Waverley, Berwick, Williamstown and Niddrie.

Cam operates at the Saint Vincents Private East Melbourne , Waverley Private and Berwick SJOG Private hospitals. He also holds a public appointment at Western Health and is on a regular on-call roster for adult and paediatric trauma.

Cam’s specialist orthopaedic training was completed in Melbourne in 2009 and he is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.

He undertook further training for a year in Lyon, France under Professor Philippe Neyret (Knee – joint replacement, patellofemoral disorders and sports surgery) and Mr Tarik Ait Si Selmi (Hip & Knee – joint replacement).

Cam continued his speciality training by spending a further year at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford University Hospitals, UK under Professor Andrew Price (Knee – joint replacement, arthroscopy and sports surgery) and Mr Peter McLardy Smith (Hip – primary and revision joint replacement).

Following his return to Australia Cam trained in hip arthroscopy and anterior approach hip replacement under Dr John O’Donnell.

Cam has a keen interest in clinical research has presented and published both locally and internationally. He is a reviewer for the Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research Journal. He is regularly involved with Orthopaedic registrar training through his appointment with Western Health.

In his free time, Cam likes to play tennis, travel, indulge in good food and wine and enjoy family time with his wife and their three young children.
