Mr Doron Sher
Overview
Dr. Sher is a specialist knee, shoulder and elbow surgeon.
As well as his medical degree (University of New South Wales, 1991) he has completed a Masters Degree in Biomedical Engineering. Theresearch thesis for this degree was on Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction and was awarded the Evelyn Hamilton Memorial prize from the Australian Orthopaedic Association.
Dr Sher’s Orthopaedic training was completed on the Sydney Orthopaedic Training Scheme. He then travelled overseas undertaking surgical subspeciality fellowships and is the former Head of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Concord Repatriation General Hospital.
His passion for helping patients avoid unnecessary surgery has led to his involvement in establishing two ground breaking metabolic, arthritis, weight loss and sports performance clinics.

Interests:
Actively involved in research projects, many of which have been published in international peer journals.

Active in trauma management at Concord Hospital.
Dr Sher is dedicated to the concept of “Life Long Learning and Research” which allows him to remain at the leading edge of patient care and rehabilitation.
