Overview

The practice of Peter Callan Plastic Surgeon specialises in rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery, facelift surgery, breast surgery, and facial injectables. Peter Callan has been a plastic surgeon in Geelong since 1995, meeting the needs of patients from Geelong and the Surf Coast since that time. A strong reputation for cosmetic surgery, particularly rhinoplasty surgery, has also prompted an increase in patients travelling from interstate and overseas.

Peter Callan lived for much of his childhood in Geelong, and moved to Melbourne in his teens. He trained as a medical practitioner in Melbourne, then as a plastic surgeon in Melbourne and Brisbane. After nearly three years overseas in Glasgow, Oxford, Toronto and Detroit furthering his training he returned to Geelong.

Peter Callan was President of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons from 2009-2011, during which time he tried to ensure that patients realised the importance of Government recognised training and experience when choosing a surgeon. Since that time he has organised or helped run training courses for physicians and surgeons on facial injectables, rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery, and facelift surgery. With his friend and colleague Dr George Marcells in Sydney, Peter Callan runs the Masters Symposium on Functional and Aesthetic Rhinoplasty. He has also been on the International Faculty for the famous Bergamo Rhinoplasty course in Italy, and speaks regularly in Australia and overseas, and has over 25 publications in the peer-reviewed literature. With his friend and colleague Dr Steven Liew from Sydney, Peter Callan has also developed an educational app on facial injectables known as Complete Face.
