Dr Thomas 'Tom' Hendriks

Overview

Dr Thomas Hendriks is a Perth-trained Otolaryngologist (Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon) and Head and Neck Surgeon with broad subspecialty expertise across the full scope of ENT surgery. He completed his medical training at The University of Western Australia in 2015, and then completed his Otolaryngology, Head and Neck surgical training across Perth’s major tertiary hospitals.

Following this, Dr Hendriks pursued advanced subspecialty training in head and neck surgical oncology and microvascular reconstruction, including selection for the South Carolina Sarah Cannon Head & Neck Fellowship — a high-volume AHNS-accredited program with leading experts in the field. He was the first Australian ENT surgeon to have completed this prestigious fellowship, where he gained intensive training in complex oncologic surgery and microvascular free flap reconstruction.

Dr Hendriks has a passion for research and academic surgery, having completed a Master of Philosophy in ENT surgery during his surgical training, with an active publication record spanning head and neck oncology, skull base surgery, rhinology, and otology.

In private practice, Dr Hendriks offers comprehensive ENT surgical care including general ENT, paediatric ENT, rhinology and sinus surgery, and sleep surgery, alongside his subspecialty head and neck cancer surgery and reconstructive work.
