Overview
Dr. William Shi is an Attending Cardiovascular Surgeon with the Northwell Health System at North Shore University Hospital and Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, NY, USA.
William obtained his Medical Degree from the University of Melbourne in Australia in 2010 and trained in Cardiothoracic Surgery in Melbourne, obtaining board certification and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2020. During training, William completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at the University of Melbourne investigating heart failure, obtaining a PhD in 2017.

Davidson Structural Heart Fellowship Award, a Foundation for Surgery Research Scholarship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. a Postgraduate Research Scholarship from the National Heart Foundation of Australia, a Research Scholarship from the Australia and New Zealand Society for Cardiac and Thoracic Surgeons, as well multiple scholarships from the University of Melbourne. He has published over 50 original manuscripts and book chapters and presented at scientific meetings in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia.
