  • ASC Peer Support Award (Indigenous Program)

    Dr Nasya Thompson

    Dr Nasya Thompson received the ASC Peer Support Award to attend the ASC.

  • Hugh Johnston ANZ Chapter ACS Travel Fellowship

    Dr Liesel Porrett

    Dr Liesel Porrett received the Hugh Johnston ANZ Chapter ACS Travel Fellowship and will attend the ACS Annual Clinical Congress and establish academic and professional collaborations and friendships. 

  • Indigenous Program - J and J MedTech Scholarship 
    Dr Maccalla Fenn

    Dr Maccalla Fenn received the Johnston & Johnson MedTech Scholarship. Her proposed activity includes completing a Masters of Trauma and attendance at the Advanced Paediatric Life Support course. 

  • John Buckingham Travel Grant

    Dr Ngoc Ha

    Dr Ngoc Ha received the John Buckingham Travel Grant and will attend the American College of Surgeons Clinical Congress 2024. They aim to attend educational sessions in the areas of Breast, Endocrine and General surgery.

  • Margorie Hooper Travel Scholarship

    Dr Charles Coventry

    Dr Charlies Coventry was awarded the Margorie Hooper Travel Scholarship and will be undertaking a Trauma Surgery Fellowship at the Royal London Hospital in the United Kingdom. 

  • Medtronic Younger Fellows Travel Grant

    Dr Chien Yew Kow

    Dr Chien Yew Kow received the Medtronic Younger Fellows Travel Grant and plans to undertake the University of Calgary Combined Spine Fellowship which is a combined orthopaedic and neurosurgical clinical experience.

  • Pickard Robotic Training Grant

    Dr Li Lian Kuan

    Dr Li Lian Kuan received the Pickard Robotic Training Grant and plans to undertake robotic HPB training and development and presented a range of options for training including attendance at international robotic surgery conferences and workshops and short observerships. 

     

    Dr Carolyn Chew

    Dr Carolyn Chew received the Pickard Robotic Training Grant and plans to undertake the European Society of Coloproctology Colorectal Robotic Surgery Fellowship at one of the host centres across Europe and the United Kingdom. 

     

    Dr Jake Jervis-Bardy

    Dr Jake Jervis-Bardy received the Pickard Robotic Training Grant and plans to undertake a Fellowship in Advanced Head and Neck Oncology & Reconstructive Microvascular Surgery in Ontario, Canada.

  • Rural Surgery Fellowship for Provincial Surgeons

    Dr Wilson Petrushnko

    Dr Wilson Petrushnko received the Rural Surgery Fellowship for Provincial Surgeons and will be undertaking a Colorectal Fellowship at Tweed Heads Hospital.
