Who can apply?
To be eligible for this grant, you need to be one of the following:
- RACS Fellow
- SET TraineePlease note this grant is not available for SET applicants.
FRACS applicants and Specialist International Medical Graduates (SIMGs) may apply for this grant providing they meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the grant's guideline. -
Activity
This grant may be used to fund overseas travel, accommodation, living expenses and course or conference fees to expand knowledge and expertise in a field to benefit the Fellow or Trainee, the College and the community.
The activity for which funding is being sought must commence after the grant application closing date but prior to the end of the following year (the grant year).

Application requirements
Your application is to include:
- your career and employment details
- your activity proposal including details of your activity and how it will benefit your professional development; and contribute to improving Australian and/or Aotearoa New Zealand surgical standards and knowledge base, host organisation (if applicable), activity dates, expected outcomes and proposed budget.

Recipient obligations
All grant recipients will be required to provide an activity report at the end of the grant year when requested by the Scholarships and Grants Team.

To applyApplications are submitted via the Scholarships and Grants Program online platform, RACS Unlock, hosted by Survey Monkey Apply.
You may register as an applicant on RACS Unlock at any time, however you will be unable to apply until the Learning and Development Program application opening date. There is no need to re-register if you already have a RACS Unlock registration.
