Assessment fees

Application fee for short-term training in Australia

Specialist International Medical Graduates (SIMGs) applying for RACS endorsement of their short-term training in Australia will be charged an application fee. Applicants should become aware of the required fee before submitting an application to RACS.

Please be advised this fee covers RACS’ administrative costs for processing an application. It is not a training fee and cannot be refunded once an application has been processed, including in the event that an applicant is unable to proceed with the pathway for any reason.

Specialist pathway fees in Australia and New Zealand

Specialist International Medical Graduates (SIMGs) applying to RACS for a specialist assessment will be charged an application fee. Applicants should become aware of the required fee before submitting an application to RACS.

If following the document based assessment applicants are considered not comparable, they do not progress to the interview stage and will have the interview component of the assessment fee reimbursed (20 per cent of the total fee paid).

If following the document based assessment and interview stage applicants are considered not comparable, a refund is not applicable.

SIMGs who are offered and accept a specialist pathway towards Fellowship of RACS may be charged various fees throughout their pathway, including supervision and examination fees. SIMGs should become aware of the required fees before accepting their specialist pathway.
