“2020 has been a year like no other as the COVID-19 pandemic spread throughout the globe and affected many of us in different ways. We are acutely aware that some Fellow’s practices have been impacted more than others resulting in financial hardship for some. This year we are extending the RACS Financial Hardship criteria to include COVID-19 related impacts. If this is you, we are providing a couple of options in terms of fee relief to support your payment of 2021 College subscriptions.” Dr Greg Witherow, RACS Treasurer.
Option one: wind back of 2021 subscription fee notice to 2020 amount
As a Fellow, you are able to elect this year’s (2020) subscription fee amount instead of paying next year’s indexed 2021 subscription fee amount. To do so, please complete the following online form.
All you have to do is provide your name, RACS ID and phone number. We also request an email address so that we can confirm with you that the 2020 subscription fee amount has been applied to your 2021 subscription notice.
Option two: apply to the Treasurer for greater 2021 subscription fee relief
As a Fellow, you can alternatively apply to the RACS Treasurer for special consideration if you have experienced greater financial hardship due to restrictions on your practice during 2020 from COVID-19.
This fee relief is available to Fellows who can demonstrate:
- Access to government support through the JobKeeper program.
- Reduced practice income due to practice restrictions in Victoria, in a predominantly elective capacity and within private practice.
- Other personal or professional factors that have limited your practice income during 2020.
To apply for this relief, please complete the following online application form to the Treasurer. All you have to do is provide the following information along with your name, RACS ID, phone number and email address so that we can confirm the level of financial relief provided to your 2021 subscription notice.
