The Find a Surgeon directory is a listing of active Fellows of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons who meet the requirements of the College's Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Program and have opted to be on the list. This list excludes retired or inactive Fellows.

Specialist assessment overview in Australia

The RACS will review your application once recevied to ensure:

  • The information contained within the application demonstrates eligibility to have your specialist surgical qualifications, training and clinical experience assessed by RACS.
  • The documentation is complete; The College will contact you directly by email if more information is required.
    You have 40 days from the date the email is sent to you to submit the documents requested by the Administrative Officer. If you do not submit the additional information within 40 days, your application will be deemed inactive and your specialist assessment fee less 10% (administrative fee) will be refunded.

Your application will become active upon receipt of all requisite documentation has been received.

The RACS specialist assessment process normally takes up to 3 months (from date of activation) to complete.
