Registrar/Principal House Officer (Orthopaedics)

Location: Rockhampton Region

As the Principal House Officer/Registrar you can expect one-on-one consultant supervision in theatre and clinic to grow your skills, an active research community and a supportive team. The role is to assist the Director, Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeons and other Senior Medical Staff, in a variety of Orthopaedic services such as elective operating, general and specialist trauma operating, elective and fracture clinics, teaching, contribution towards regular audit, M&M and departmental research.

About us:
The Orthopaedic team comprises the Clinical Director, Staff Specialists / Senior Medical Officers (SMO), with subspeciality interests of arthroplasty, sports, foot and ankle, shoulder and elbow, spine and hands. We also have an Orthogeriatrician working alongside us.

About you:
MBBS or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Experience and qualifications in Orthopaedics is well regarded

Salary information:
Total remuneration value of up to $177,969 p.a. (L9) is comprised of:
• An annual rate between $134,489 - $155,125 p.a. 
• 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
• 17.5% leave loading
