The Find a Surgeon directory on the College website is an opt-in system where active Fellows who have met the requirements of the preceding CPD Program triennium (or equivalent approved program), by the award of the Certificate of Continuing Professional Development, can register themselves if they wish. Fellows who have not met the requirements of the preceding CPD Program triennium (or equivalent approved program) are not eligible to appear on the Find a Surgeon directory.

You can opt-in and opt-out of Find a Surgeon as well as create and edit your Practice Card via your RACS Portfolio (members only, login required).
Rules about the specialty under which you can be listed
The College recognises 11 Fellowship specialties. In nine of these it currently offers training and assessment, while admission into the other two has historical origins.
When you log in, the College database recognises the specialty in which you have been admitted to Fellowship. If you have been endorsed in a second specialty, you will see that you can be listed only in that second specialty, as the College assumes that you will wish to practice in that specialty.
Specialty-related areas of practice
The College has been through a fairly exhaustive process to define most of the specialty-related areas of practice in which Fellows work. The following list shows the categories currently recognised by the College. Once you have been listed, the list of specialty-related areas of practice you have provided the College will automatically appear against your name. Please note that the list of specialty-related areas of practice has been stored in a specialty-specific manner. Specialty-related areas of practice that are not generally accepted as being within your specialty will not be included against your name.
If you would like specialty-related areas of practice listed against your name but have not notified the College, please do so by writing to fellowship.admission@surgeons.org or by calling the Fellowship Database Officer on +61 3 9276 7438.
