Overview

RACS awards Fellowships in the following nine surgical divisions:

  • Cardiothoracic Surgery
  • General Surgery
  • Neurosurgery
  • Orthopaedic Surgery
  • Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery
  • Paediatric Surgery
  • Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
  • Urology
  • Vascular Surgery

Each of the nine surgical divisions has a board for training in that specialty. The boards can appoint regional sub-committees to advise on training facilities in the regions, and to be available to advise Trainees in the specialty. There are also Fellows in Ophthalmology, and Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

RACS works closely with some of these societies and associations below to manage the selection of surgical Trainees and the specialty training programs as well as professional development opportunities.
