Upper GI, HPB and Obesity Surgery overview

The Upper Gastrointestinal (GI) and Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) and Obesity Surgery Section aims to:

  • Foster and maintain a high standard of care in the surgery of the Upper Gastrointestinal tract and Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary system and in the surgical management of Obesity.
  • Promote research in the understanding of normal and disordered function, plus management of the Upper Gastrointestinal tract and Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary system, encompassing the oesophagus, stomach, small intestine, liver, biliary tract and pancreas.
  • Develop governing standards for issues related to upper GI, HPB and obesity surgery.

Activities

Scientific and education programs are run at the Annual Scientific Congress (ASC)
