Mr Matthew Claydon
Overview
Mr. Claydon obtained his basic medical degree (with honours) from Monash University, and in addition a Bachelor of Medical Science with honours. He completed his training in General and Trauma Surgery proceeding immediately to complete a second fellowship in his area of passion - Vascular and Endovascular surgery. His training included an international component in the United Kingdom. His training has encompassed trauma, renal transplantation, open arterial and venous surgery, and minimally invasive procedures for aortic, arterial and venous conditions. He has obtained the theorectical component of the Diploma of Diagnostic Ultrasound (Part I) and remains actively involved in the provision of diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound services. Mr Claydon has developed expertise in anterior exposure of the spinal column to facilitate the advanced disc and vertebral surgery incombination with his orthopaedica and spinal colleagues. He also has interests in arterial entrapment syndromes, thoracic outlet syndrome and complex oncological resection as part of a multidisciplinary team. Mr. Claydon has performed 1000's of procedures, and is involved in hundred's each year. He has delivered multiple presentations at local and international meetings, and had multiple publications in internatinal journals and is actively involved in research and teaching. He is an examiner for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
