Overview
Certified in Colorectal Surgery; introduced several advanced procedures in this field to Ballarat region; BreastScreen-accredited surgeon and member BreastSurgANZ. During VMO appointment at Ballarat Health Services 1992-2012 was Supervisor of Surgical Training for nine years and Surgical TopicLead for Deakin University; developed curriculum for medical students. Left Central Highlands Surgeons in June 2018: the practice continues with three other general surgeons.
Dean of Education @RACS August 2012 to November 2018.
Appointed to Western Sydney University School of Medicine as Associate Dean, Professor of Clinical Education March 2019. Resigned for new role November 2023.
Commenced as CEO and Dean at New Medical Education P/L January 2024. The raison d'etre of this company is to establish a new private medical school for Australia.
No longer practising clinically - Hamilton QLD is head office of NewMed.
