Become a CCrISP® Coordinator
Role overview
The role of the CCrISP® co-ordinator is essential for the successful conduct of each course. CCrISP® co-ordinators usually have a background in nursing and have an interest in education.
If you are a highly organised person who is passionate about nursing, consider becoming a CCrISP® co-ordinator. The co-ordinator works closely with the course director and is responsible for organising the course, pre-course planning, and post-course summation.

Nursing professionals interested in participating in the CCrISP® program are welcomed to apply to become a CCrISP® coordinator. Please register your interest by:
- Ensuring minimum eligibility is met
- Completing the Expression of Interest form (PDF 24.4KB)

Eligibility criteria
- A health professional with a base knowledge of medical core content and related equipment such as a clinical nurse educator, ICU/CCU, nursing education co-ordinator, Registered Nurse with intensive care or surgical ward experience
- Proven organisational skills
- Effective communication skills
- Familiar with CCrISP® course policies and procedures
Training process
- Attend a CCrISP® provider course as an observer with an experienced CCrISP® co-ordinator
- Actively assists an experienced co-ordinator on a CCrISP® provider course as a co-ordinator candidate to gain an understanding of the course requirements and administrative tasks
- Manage the pre and post course planning, and the operation of a CCrISP® provider course under the supervision of an experienced co-ordinator and course director.
- Recommendation submitted to the National Co-ordinator for approval to obtain CCrISP® co-ordinator status
- Teach a minimum of one course per year to maintain co-ordinator status
