Surgical Career Panel Night
Join us at the RACS ACT Surgical Career Panel Night
Date: Monday, 20 June 2022, from 5.30pm
Venue: ANU Medical School, The Canberra Hospital Campus, Building 4 Auditorium, Hospital Road, Garran
The panel will give insights to the challenges and rewards of a career in surgery. Guest speakers include:

Operating with Respect (OWR) Course
Date: Thursday, 21 July 2022
Venue: RACS ACT Office, Suite 31/2 King St, Deakin ACT 2600
Time: 8.15am – 5pm
The Operating with Respect (OWR) course provides you with practical strategies and skills to respond appropriately to unacceptable behaviour. The OWR course is evidence-based and designed to help all surgeons create a safe, respectful workplace culture that positively impacts Trainee learning and ultimately improves surgical care.
This course will be delivered face to face and qualifies for 7 CPD points.

ACT Annual Scientific Meeting 2022
Role of the Surgeon into the Future
Date: Friday 12 August 2022
Venue: National Museum of Australia
Convenors: Dr Adrian Fernandez and Dr Sandra Krishnan
Keynote Speakers:
- Mrs Cleo Kenington – sustainability and perspectives of the future of sustainability for surgeons
- Professor Russell Gruen – Commission for the Human Future and Contribution to the conversation surrounding climate change and impact for surgeons
- Associate Professor Tarik Sammour – Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Robotics in Colorectal Surgery
- Dr Joseph Dosseldorp – Application of 3D Printing in Surgery
- Dr Timothy Yeoh – 3D Hologram Technology in Surgery
- Dr Pia Bernardi - Colorectal Surgeon, Member of RACS Sustainability Working Party
