RACS Tasmania Stronger together: Advancing surgery in Tasmania. Through education, collaboration, and the pursuit of surgical excellence.

Saturday 5 September 2026

The Tasman, Hobart

Our annual event connects the surgical community in Tasmania and beyond. This year will feature an engaging day program, followed by a cocktail function on the Friday night and a dinner on the Saturday night.

Hear from leaders across healthcare as they explore workforce sustainability, regional leadership, wellbeing and career longevity, and discuss how we can strengthen the profession for the future.

Highlights include:

  • Resilience Throughout a Surgical Career with Dr Cameron Robertson, a vascular surgeon.
  • Delivering a Sustainable Medical Workforce with Dr Kirstin Bell, Head of Ophthalmology.
  • Collaborative Leadership for Regional Centres with Professor Berni Endoer, retired orthopaedic surgeon.
  • Research presentations showcasing emerging Tasmanian surgical research.

Focused on practical challenges and real-world solutions, this event aligns with our program theme: Stronger together: Advancing surgery in Tasmania.
