Overview

Care of the Critically Ill Surgical Patient (CCrISP) teaches a structured approach to managing deteriorating surgical patients and identifying those most at risk.

The CCrISP Committee is a subcommittee of the Prevocational and Skills Education Committee (PSEC), and has direct responsibility for the oversight of the CCrISP program throughout Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.

Objectives

The CCrISP Committee:

  • oversees the implementation and continued development of the CCrISP program throughout Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.
  • oversees the conduct of the CCrISP program throughout Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.
  • oversees the review of curriculum and materials necessary to the CCrISP program.
  • oversees the ongoing recruitment and training of faculty.
  • maintains a close professional and collaborative relationship with the UK CCrISP Steering Group of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
