A Simpler CPD Experience from 2027
RACS is responding to member feedback that reducing the time and complexity involved in completing CPD is a priority.
We have made some changes in the hope that this will allow you to have more time to focus on engaging in the professional development that matters to you.
From 2027, the RACS CPD Program will feature simpler categories and reduced hurdle requirements. The hurdle requirements that are being removed in 2027 are:
- Peer Review for Audit
- Two hurdle requirements for Performance Review (Review of Self and Review of Others)
- Minimum requirement to complete two distinct education activities per annum
Your new streamlined requirements for 2027 are outlined below

STANZ
- being the voice of the College in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand;
- maintaining strong relationships with Departments of Health/Ministry of Health;
- advocating on issues of importance to the College;
- maintaining strong relationships with hospitals and relevant health organisations;
- being the first port of call for local Fellows, Trainees and International Medical Graduates;
- communicating regularly with the local membership;
- providing educational opportunities to local Fellows, Trainees and International Medical Graduates;
- coordinating College activities such as examinations and workshops held in the region;
- recognising the contributions of local Fellows.
